Mary Magdalene is prominently featured in the New Testament Gospels as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. According to the Gospel of John (20:11-18), Mary Magdalene encountered the risen Christ at the empty tomb, earning her the title "Apostle to the Apostles" as she was the first to announce the Resurrection to the disciples.
